Amstelveen, July 2022 – Futureproof Group, in which MKB Fonds from Amstelveen has a majority interest, is once again expanding through the acquisitions of Managed IT & Rely.
Strengthen position
In its current form, Futureproof Group has grown into a holding company for various IT companies with a wide range of managed services for SMEs. In December 2021, Futureproof Group took a major step forward with the addition of five companies from MKB Fonds' portfolios to Futureproof Group.
IT partners with a focus on notaries and lawyers
In recent months, the management of Futureproof Group has been negotiating with an IT company, namely: Rely. Rely is a total supplier in the field of IT with a focus on the notary and legal profession.
The company was bought a few years ago by Claranet, a larger international IT organization headquartered in the United Kingdom. Claranet has a relatively small operation in the Benelux that focuses mainly on large business and corporate customers. The latter is the reason why Rely was looking for a more suitable accommodation.
Rely is very similar to Managed IT in terms of activities, customer group and size. Managed-IT has been an independent participation of MKB Fonds for a number of years and as such works closely with Futureproof Group.
Perfect match Managed IT and Rely
The match between Managed IT and Rely is so good that it was decided to combine these companies into one new company, Reliable IT Services B.V. This also forms a new cluster. In accordance with Futureproof Group's strategy, both branches will continue to operate separately, with close cooperation in the back office so that knowledge and skills are optimally utilized.
